HEY! I'm talking about myself!

My name is Zach Long! I was born, raised, and live in Arkansas. I am basically a hobbit who used to like reading books, and then got so bored he wanted to write them instead.

 

The main part of my story here is that I’ve tried to break into ‘the publishing world’ for years now, and have gotten quite fed up with publishing houses and publishing agents. So I’ve struck out on my own to be my own businessman and kick silly things like ‘middle men’ and ‘business obligations’ to the curb, to be my own free man of the trade.

Hard? Yeah.

Risky? Yeah.

I wouldn’t give it up for anything, especially since the world has gone to pot in a handbasket with express delivery to hell (shipping by Amazon).

 

I write sci-fi and fantasy stories, novels or short stories or anything in between. Never cared much for poetry but I do like music, and I’m brushing up on drawing skills that have laid dormant for a long time.

 

I am unabashedly a weirdo who likes playing with abstract concepts, and curses smart alecks for their very existence. I like paradoxes and wonderlands but I like living on planet Earth with my fellow humans. (You guys keep me grounded!)

 

I’d like to thank anyone who has encouraged me in getting this crazy venture up and running, including a homeless man, a local restaurant worker, and my dad—but not my mom, who thinks I’m being a fool. (Hi mom!)
