Hello all!

Woo-hoo! Not bad, huh? Yeah, been working on this bad boy for a year now. It’s cooked long enough. It’s the first novel I’m proud of. I have done previous novels and tried to get them published. Got rejected on them all. It was to be expected. I knew that going in. Stephen King got rejected 40 times before his wife told him to try, one more time, and he got published! No, my problem was other, unmentionable factors that rhyme with ‘moke’. Not just from competition from other authors.

…And if the ‘moke’ factors weren’t there and I still got rejected, I’ had no one but myself and luck to blame ;(.

NEON KNIGHTS: A Far-Future Novel in the Zeta Galaxy is based on a sci-fi setting I’ve been slowly growing in my head since I was 16. My college thesis novel—that I had to write to graduate—is based on a prototype of the setting. It changed and matured with me.

“Do you like ACTION!?”

“Do you like ANIME?!”

“Do you like SHAKESPEARE?!”

(NERD!!!!)

“Then I got a novel for you! High-class courier Clay (one alias of many) keeps taking jobs that go wrong, and he makes them right. He finally gets over his head when a galactic pop star falls into his arms—she has her own dreams of destiny. But as Clay’s employer begins to question the costs of his effectiveness, two alien warships float into the system, to forever change the fate of planet Arcadia…”

Warning: Age appropriate for 14-20.

HOW TO PAY ME (For Real)

All right, brass tacks.

You aren’t getting the whole book.

You’re getting it in chapters.

Now, hold on! There’s precedent for this. See, look at my situation. On the Internet, anyone can copy-paste what I have. Do I have a whole book? Fine, they can take it all. But, chapter-by-chapter? They have to wait, and it is a rare breed of Internet creature who does that.

So, I’ll post the chapters each week on my https://www.subscribestar.com/dair-productions--it’s the off-brand Patreon that better fits my needs. It is a monthly subscription, but only the people who pay me the $4 dollar/month option will get access to the weekly chapters.

Why this? Well, I wanted to sell my book for a dollar a chapter. Raw money, given right to me, not the publisher, who will never have my interests or survival in mind. Plus, there’s precedent to. Charles Dickens? The guy who wrote A Christmas Carol? He was one of the first to sell his book by chapters, to squeeze out more money (he had gambling debts to pay). The same with Alexander Dumas, Pere, the guy who wrote The Three Musketeers.

I want to thank you all for sticking it out with me so far. Now, it’s time to really get to work.

Thank you.
